(RCM), our expert staff will perform a comprehensive review of your existing maintenance
program to determine the optimal mix of Preventive, Predictive, and Proactive activities
which are required to maximize reliability, and minimize O&M costs. RCM
utilizes a systematic approach to evaluate systems and critical equipment, using
functional failure analysis (FFA) techniques and failure modes effects analysis (FMEA), to
understand how equipment fails, and what maintenance tasks (PM, PDM, Proactive) can be
done to minimize failures and maximize reliability. RCM can also provide the
foundation for understanding why certain maintenance tasks are performed and the
justification for eliminating unnecessary Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities in lieu
of more diagnostic techniques, like PDM.
